Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach James Lowes says his side allowed the emotion of the occasion get to them as they conceded 24 unanswered points to let the a 19-6 lead slip at Rotherham.

Lowes said the squad had spoken this week about the emotion of the occasion with it being Rotherham’s last home game before relegation but failed to deal with the pressure when it came on late on.

The Carnegie coach also revealed that Louis Brown and Pete Lucock are now likely to miss Tuesday’s re-arranged clash with Ealing Trailfinders at Emerald Headingley.
