Yorkshire Carnegie’s Under-16s Junior Development Squad start their 2018 playing programme this Sunday at Sale Sharks with a round robin of games including Newcastle Falcons and a ERDPP Select team.

Danny Wild, Under-16s Coach for Yorkshire Carnegie said: “This will be a good opportunity for the players to take the next step from a successful County programme.  All three clubs will take two teams to the festival with Yorkshire bringing an additional ERDPP Select team.”

This festival is the start of the Under-16s programme and the first chance for this age group to play together.  The following weekend the team will travel to Warwick for an RFU Festival where they will compete against Exeter and Wasps.

“The two festivals will be a good test for the team, “ said Wild.  “It will give all the players a good starting point to build towards the RFU Wellington Festival at Easter which is a weeklong Rugby Development Camp for all of the RFU Academies including a mixture of games, training and educational workshops.”
