Members of the Yorkshire Carnegie first team squad have taken time out of their schedule to visit children and parents on their annual visit to the Leeds Children’s Hospital. The players gave out presents and cards to help spread some festive cheer.

The players visited all wards across the Children’s Hospital and spent time talking to staff, children and their families.

Lisa McCann, Head of Community for Yorkshire Carnegie said: “It is a privilege to be able to visit with our squad and see the fantastic work done by the staff on the wards. It is such an inspiring visit and the spirit and resilience shown by the children and families is a lesson to us all.

“I would like to thank Jemma and all of her team at the Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal who make this visit possible and who work so hard throughout the year in supporting the work of the hospital” .

Dave Baldwin, Team Manager at Yorkshire Carnegie said: “The players have been great today and I know this visit means a lot to each of them. This is a small thing we can do as a team to brighten up the day for the children and their families. Hopefully it will  make their time in hospital a little easier.”
