Yorkshire Carnegie welcomed their affiliated preparatory schools at the annual JK Jones Yorkshire Carnegie Festival this week.

The festival was hosted by Woodhouse Grove, one of the club’s affiliated senior schools, and saw the Under-10s from each school compete against each other over the course of the day.

Attending schools were Bronte House, Fulneck School, Moorlands, Richmond House and Westville House.

Keith Jones, a former Second Master at the school and after whom the festival is named, was supporting the event. The schools were also joined by two of our first team players, Michael Cusack and Richard Mayhew who were on hand to present the schools with their participation prizes.

Lisa McCann, Head of Community commented: “It was a fantastic event with some excellent rugby on display. Woodhouse Grove were outstanding hosts and ensured everybody enjoyed the day so I would like to thank their staff for all of their effort and hard work.”

The children who took part in the festival will now be playing on the pitch during the half time interval at our game against Bristol on Friday 17th November.
