Yorkshire Carnegie have bolstered their squad ahead of this Sunday’s massive Greene King IPA Championship clash with London Irish with two loan signings from the Aviva Premiership.

Prop Matt Beesley, 24, returns to Yorkshire having been part of the successful Leeds Beckett team when at university and he played with Wharfedale whilst a member of the Yorkshire Carnegie academy.

Born in Cheshire, Matt has played rugby at a representative level for both Cheshire Under-20s and Cheshire and has also received international honours, having represented both England Counties and England Students.

Fly half Tom Catterick, 26, has joined for the remainder of the season from Newcastle Falcons. The former England 20s international made his Falcons debut in the 2009-10 campaign and has made 50 appearances in the Premiership since then for the Falcons.
