Yorkshire Carnegie go into Saturday’s final pool game of the British & Irish Cup looking to snatch top spot from opponents Ealing Trailfinders at Scarborough RUFC, kick off 2pm.

The Trailfinders are currently five points clear at the top and have a 45 point advantage on points difference.

To win the pool, Yorkshire Carnegie would need to score at least four tries, win by more than seven points, keep Ealing to no more than three tries and win by 23 clear points. However, even if Carnegie do not finish top, a win would secure a quarter final place as one of the three best runners up but will face an away tie in the Quarter Finals.

Head Coach Bryan Redpath has made three changes to his starting line up from the team that won at Bedford last week. In the back line, centre Tom Casson replaces Max Wright. In the forwards, prop James Thraves returns from injury to replace Charlie Beech and skipper Ryan Burrows is back in place of Richard Mayhew.

New signing Sione Faletau is still awaiting international clearance whilst full back Chris Elder is cup tied from his time at London Welsh earlier in the season. Matt Smith has been ruled out through illness so Mike Myerscough is drafted onto the bench.
