Man of the Match Andy Forsyth, who crossed for two tries against Jersey gave credit to the Yorkshire Carnegie supporters for getting behind the team as they fought to hold on for a win.

Reflecting on the win the centre said: “There are a bit of mixed feelings after the game, obviously happy to get the five points but we felt like we let them back into the game, which we have done a few times this season so we are trying to remedy that and make sure that doesn’t happen. Overall though I’m happy to get the five points and carry on the way we have been going so far.
“At the end of the game when they came back at us the crowd got behind us which was massive for us.  They turn out every week which is awesome for us and it does help when you are tired and you are blowing a little bit and you hear the crowd screaming for you it does give you that little bit more so the more people we can get down the better for us.”
