Yorkshire Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath said he was pleased his side had responded to their defeat against Ealing Trailfinders with a convincing win against Bedford Blues in the British & Irish cup.

Redpath's side ran in eight tries to ensure they went home from their On the Road game with the maximum number of points.

Speaking after the game Redoath said: "We stuck with the majority of the squad that lost last weekend and it was important for them to have the chance to rectify what went wrong last weekend and I think they did that . We weathered the storm in the first half and in the second half we were very good."
