Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath has named nearly a completely new side for this Saturday’s opening British & Irish Cup game at Ealing Trailfinders with fourteen changes to the starting line up.

Yorkshire made it six wins from six in the Greene King IPA Championship last Sunday at Cornish Pirates and those players who have not featured heavily in the opening month and half of the season will get their chance to impress. Carnegie were runners up in the tournament last season, losing out to London Welsh in the Final at Headingley Carnegie, and will be looking to go one stage further this season.

Only back rower Andy Saull retains his place in the side from last week. Fly half Warren Seals, hooker Ross Graham, second row Jack Whetton and prop James Thraves will start their first games for the club having previously appeared as replacements.

Hooker Mike Mayhew is set to make his debut off the bench after overcoming injury whilst former Sandal youngster Oliver Fox will make his first appearance for the club having emerged from the Yorkshire Carnegie Academy structure.
