Congratulations to Driffield Rugby Club and Ireland Wood Primary School who we were proud recipients of our monthly community awards.
The Club of the Month awarded was presented to Driffield have been key supporters of the Yorkshire Carnegie Community Programme over the years, bringing groups to our festivals, games and hosting our rugby camps.
Community Clubs Manager Adam Blades commented: "The aim of this award is to give some recognition to the clubs and the volunteers within them who are working tirelessly to promote our great game. Driffield are a fantastic example of that and we are delighted to have them on board."
A further award has been introduced for the 2016-17 season to reflect our growing commitment to schools.
Ireland Wood Primary were the recipients of the School of the Month award for September.
The award rewards their commitment to the Play Leaders programme which was launched last week and sees Year 4 children lead the break-time play activities.
Lisa McCann, Community Schools Manager commented, “The children and staff have worked tremendously hard over the last few months to get this project off the ground and this award is a reflection of that hard work.”
