Stevie McColl said it felt fantastic to be playing back at Headingley Carnegie after the full back marked his return with two tries against London Scottish.

Speaking after the win McColl said: “It was a nice start to the game, with a bit of pace and intensity and I think we reaped the benefits with a couple of tries and put a lot of pressure on Scottish.  The first try I scored I wasn’t expecting really.  Alex took a quick tap and I saw a bit of space, chipped on and went for it and luckily the ball bounced nicely for me.  The second try I was a bit in no man’s land and just thought I’m going to go for it and luckily it went straight to my hand.

“It was fantastic to be out there.  I love playing here, it’s a cracking ground.  Unfortunately I missed out on the Nottingham game and I was gutted about that, but thankfully I made it today and what a great start, I loved it.”
