Yorkshire Carnegie flanker Richard Mayhew admitted the side were feeling a little frustrated with their performance, despite earning a win over Nottingham.
Mayhew who joined the club this year, made his home debut in the game and said the team will work hard in training to improve ahead of the team’s next fixture against London Welsh.
“The game was frustrating at times but we got the win which is obviously the main thing but we got the win. There is still plenty to work on so we will have a big training week next week ahead of a tough game next week against London Welsh. We will take some positives from there is still a lot to work on.
“We are a little disappointed in the changing room, we know the standards we are trying to set and we have trained hard the last couple of weeks and we haven’t got the performances that we wanted. I think it is a good sign that we are frustrated because we know we can play a lot better so the boys are a bit flat but we have to remember to take the positives, we did get a win in the end, we ground it out, but I also think we were very lucky, Nottingham played extremely well and put a lot of pressure on us.”
