We were delighted this week to welcome 1 YORKS RFC of the Yorkshire Regiment to our training ground at Kirkstall this week.

We have forged close links with the Yorkshire Regiment in recent years since the formation of the Yorkshire Regiment Trophy, which is a mini league between the Championships' Yorkshire sides, and this trip came about following a link with John Bentley.

Bentos hosted the group, who are normally based at Warminster, for two days of training in Leeds. On the first day they were coached in the morning by Alan Tait before having a masterclass with John Bentley in the afternoon.

On the second day, James Lowes worked with the group before they met Sir Ian McGeechan and were then given a tour of Headingley Carnegie Stadium by Bentos.
