Tight head prop Ciaran Parker has joined Greene King IPA Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie on a two month loan from Aviva Premiership club Sale Sharks.
The former England U18 front rower joined Sale in June 2013 from Manchester RUFC, having studied at St Ambrose College in Hale Barns. He had previously represented England at both Under-16 and Under-17 level and was part of the same England U18 squad as his new team mates at Carnegie in Lewis Boyce and Taylor Prell back in 2014.
The Stockport-born forward has played for Lancashire from Under-13 level upwards. He made his first-team debut in January 2015 and had made nine appearances by the end of last season. He has progressed to play for England at Under-18 level, after being converted from a Number Eight at the age of 15.
Commenting on the signing, Director of Rugby Chris Gibson said, “We would like to thank Sale Sharks for allowing Ciaran to join us for the next two months. He has met up with the squad today and will be in contention for Saturday’s game against Leicester Lions at Harrogate.”
