Yorkshire Carnegie forward Richard Beck says the squad will use the next fortnight to fine tune their performances ahead of the start of the new season.

Yorkshire Carnegie play Leicester Lions at Harrogate next weekend in the final pre-season game but Beck says every session will be important to be ready to face Trailfinders.

He commented, "We have got one game to go in pre-season and we are all trying to make sure we are ready. I turned my ankle just before half time today but it should be okay for next week and everyone is fighting hard to be in the team for the opening day. It was tough against Wasps but we knew it would be and the lads never gave in."
