This week marked the four year anniversary of the Leeds Rugby Fans Forum and to celebrate the group had a visit from Leeds Rhinos Foundation Development Officer, Sam Horner, a little bit of celebration cake and the current Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie Forum members welcomed four new members to the group.
These new members were selected from over 30 applications during a recent recruitment drive. The process for selection was based on providing the best representations of our fan bases for the Forum to ensure we obtain a holistic overview and feedback at the meetings.
The new members to join are:
- Angela Rimmington Brown (Yorkshire Carnegie)
- Keith Huggins (Yorkshire Carnegie)
- David Muhl (Leeds Rhinos)
- Christian Floyd (Leeds Rhinos)
The Leeds Rugby Fans Forum now has 18 members of which 12 are Leeds Rhinos supporters and six are Yorkshire Carnegie supporters.
Formed in 2012 where we began with 18 members, the recent addition of members is the third round of recruitment we have done since it started due to some fans choosing to leave the forum because of other commitments.
Throughout the four years, the members of the group have worked closely with both Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie’s Head of Customer Experience, Sian Jones, to help provide feedback, ideas, opinions and support across a variety of topics both clubs face when communicating, organising and managing business operations for the fans and their experience. The club believe it is beneficial to work closely with the fans on these matters and also the forum members work with other fans to obtain their thoughts and feedback to help shape the future of the clubs.
Meetings take place throughout the year and either Leeds Rhinos fans only, Yorkshire Carnegie fans only or both together. The next meetings for 2016 are:
Wednesday 26th October, 7pm (Carnegie)
Wednesday 23rd November, 7pm (Rhinos)
Wednesday 14th December, 7pm (Group)
All minutes from the meetings can be found online at www.therhinos.co.uk and www.yorkshirecarnegie.com and include all feedback which has come in from either Forum members directly or via email@example.com.
The responses to all feedback are also included so if you send in emails prior to these meetings, the minutes include the replies from the Club.
If you have any feedback that you would like to be discussed at one of the Fans Forum meetings then please email firstname.lastname@example.org and this will be discussed at the meetings and published in the minutes shortly after the meeting has taken place.
