The Yorkshire Carnegie squad and coaching staff headed to the East Coast on Saturday morning for a chance to train on the beach at Filey.

The squad are now a fortnight into pre-season training having returned to our base at Kirkstall following the flood damage earlier in the year.

However, to mix things up they headed to Filey for an early morning training session on the first day of the July although they certainly were not topping up their tans given the 'summer' temperatures!

The change of scenery seemed to go down well with the lads judging by their comments on social media.

Kabaddi, kick tennis & American football … now this is how every day of pre seasons should be ?? https://t.co/LABkgggnny
