New signing Stevie McColl says he is excited about being back at Headingley Carnegie and admits he has some unfinished business with the club as he looks to help them to promotion to the Aviva Premiership next season.

McColl, who earned a place in the Scotland Six Nations training squad during his first spell at the club, has been at Gloucester for the last two seasons but says he feels at home having returned north.

He told us, "I am really excited about being back. Headingley Carnegie looks fantastic as always and the pitch looks amazing. I have got another couple of weeks off but then I can't wait to be back with the boys. There are quite a few lads still here from my first spell at the club and the club is very ambitions. We want to take the team into the Aviva Premiership and I am sure that will be a massive motivating factor for us in pre-season."
