Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath praised opponents Doncaster Knights after their aggregate win in the Greene King IPA Championship and said that his team will come back even stronger for next season.

Yorkshire Carnegie won the game 17-14 but lost out overall by ten points on aggregate. Speaking after the game, Redpath said, "Credit to Doncaster, they deserve to go through to the final over the two legs and good luck to them. We left ourselves with alot to do after the first leg and, whilst we came here determined to over turn the gap, we were probably not smart enough at times.

"It is disappointing that our season ends here but we can look forward to next season with confidence. We have made a number of changes on and off the field and we now head into a big pre-season so we are ready to build on our achievements this season."
