Centre Pete Lucock could not hide his disappointment after Yorkshire Carnegie’s season ended at Castle Park with a 17-14 win that fell short of overturning the aggregate deficit.

Lucock twice thought he had scored in the second half at Doncaster but was denied by the officials and he admitted after the game that it was a tough result to take. Speaking after the game he said, "I thought I had scored both tries but it wasn't to be. It is tough to take but fair play to Doncaster, they deserve to be in the Final and good luck to them against Bristol."
