Yorkshire Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath said he was disappointed to see his side lose out in the first leg of the semi final against Doncaster but said it is not lost and they will be focussed on improving for next week.
Speaking after the game Redpath said: “We didn’t perform well in our set piece and Doncaster capitalised on that, whether in the scrum or we had some errors at the line out and we didn’t keep the ball in the right areas. We got back to a respectable score and that gives a chance and now we know exactly what we have got to do. We have got to be much better as a team, so there is no place to hide, but it’s not lost.
“We looked nervy, there was some loose passes, which can happen when you get a bit of pressure on you. We finished off the game better and we have got to focus on next week. Credit to Doncaster, they played well and took their opportunities when they arose. We’ve got lots to work on and to focus on for next week.”
