Yorkshire Carnegie fly half Kevin Sinfield has appeared in more finals than any other player in the modern era of Rugby League however he admits he is just as excited about his first final as a Rugby Union player this Sunday at Headingley Carnegie.

Sinfield and his Yorkshire Carnegie team mates take on London Welsh this Sunday at Headingley Carnegie in the British & Irish Cup Final, kick off 3pm, and the Sports Personality of the Year runner up says a victory would be all the more sweeter because the game is in Yorkshire.

He commented, "The last time I played in a final at Headingley Carnegie was back in 1998 right at the start of my career in an Academy Grand Final. It would be great to see the fans turn out to support the team on Sunday and create a great atmosphere for the occasion. London Welsh are a very tough and talented team. We had a big test against them last Saturday and I am sure Sunday will be no different."

Gates open at 1pm on Sunday with children admitted free of charge.
