BBC Radio Leeds’ West Yorkshire Sport Daily show this week had a special focus on Yorkshire Carnegie’s academy structure and player development programme with Sir Ian McGeechan, Andy Rock, Lewis Boyce and Josh Bainbridge joining Katherine Hannah in the studio and you listen to it again online now.

The show looked at the current structures in place and how the club plans to develop those areas to ensure the best young talent in the county has the opportunity to realise their potential.

Yorkshire Carnegie Executive President Sir Ian McGeechan spoke about his vision for Yorkshire rugby whilst Academy Director Andy Rock explained the new structure that sees Academy coaching staff going out to six areas across the region to work with a larger pool of players than ever before.

England U20 stars Lewis Boyce and Josh Bainbridge were also be on hand to talk about their experiences coming through the academy and how much it means to them to play for Yorkshire Carnegie.

A big thank you goes to Gareth Jones and Katherine Hannah from BBC Radio Leeds who, as always, are fantastic supporters of Yorkshire Carnegie.
