Yorkshire Carnegie fly half Kevin Sinfield is hoping he can play a part in helping his side reach the British & Irish Cup Final this Sunday when they take on Jersey in the semi final at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 3pm.

Sinfield missed last week's 50-3 win over Moseley in the Quarter Final but he admits the chance to appear in a final in his first season at the club has got him excited this week.

Looking ahead to the game, Sinfield said, "We know Jersey are a tough side. I haven't played against them yet but they have a reputation as a very strong team, especially up front so we know the size of the challenge in front of us. They won at Bedford last week so they will come here with no pressure on them. For us, we know that if we go through we will also be at Headingley Carnegie in the final which is a massive motivating factor. Hopefully the fans will come along on Sunday and cheer the team on, I know the club are doing free tickets for kids and now the sun is shining, I am sure both teams will be looking to make the most of the good conditions to produce an exciting contest."
