Yorkshire Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath said he was delighted with his side’s win in the British & Irish Cup, which saw them set up a semi -final clash with Jersey.

Speaking after the game Redpath said: “It was tough for Moseley, they picked up a few bumps last weekend and had to put some of their coaching staff on the bench, so it was a tough shift from them.  I thought the first 20 minutes they were outstanding and we had to defend a lot and we didn’t execute very well in the first half, but after that when we got our noses in front we had a little bit too much for them.

“I was delighted with the boys in the second half, certainly that last 60 minutes, from then on we were pretty comfortable and we just had to make sure we stuck to the simple things and what was pleasing was that we scored some simple tries and didn’t over complicate it.”
