Yorkshire Carnegie were pleased this week to run a small schools festival, hosted by Richmond House School in Leeds.

The three team tournament featuring Richmond house school, Fulneck School and Bronte house was a culmination of activity within the school that featured a school assembly and nutrition workshop. The event was a huge success with all three schools entering teams at Under-9s and Under-11s age groups and the festival running in a great spirit with some great rugby on show. Yorkshire Carnegie players were also on hand to watch the games and present the awards once the festival had ended.
Commenting on the day Community Manager Adam Blades said: "It was fantastic to have the six teams present with us on the day, the games that were played were of a very high standard and it was a great end to the small schools programme that we had put in place with them. Whilst it was great to host all the teams at Richmond house school we are even more pleased to have them as our guests on Sunday to play during the half-time interval of the Yorkshire Carnegie and Bristol game. Two of the schools will also be taking part in a pitch parade during the half time period so a great end to a great terms work with the schools."
