Yorkshire Carnegie scrum half Chris Pilgrim says he thinks neither side will be looking beyond Sunday’s clash with Bristol at Headingley Carnegie despite the play offs being on the horizon.

Many have suggested that Sunday’s clash with Bristol is a dress rehearsal for a potential play off show down between the sides but Pilgrim says the scenarios for both games are so far removed that little comparison can be drawn. He suggested,  “I don’t think you can look too deeply into any further advantages gained from Sunday’s game against Bristol. The play offs bring with them their own sort of pressure and as such are totally different types of games. This is a league match, there are four points up for grabs and it is important for us that we start picking up points to secure our spot in the play offs.”
