Tries from James Sanderson and Max Wright were not enough to prevent Yorkshire Carnegie’s Academy side losing out to Leicester Tigers Academy at West Park Leeds.

The game saw some good moments in attack from both teams and the team continually tried to up the tempo and balance playing off our 9s and 10s.

Neither team really though took control of the game in key areas particularly in the second half, which allowed Tigers to pull away after scoring first a great team try through Max Wright.  Leicester then pulled two back and before James Sanderson combining to score a second for Yorkshire Carnegie and pull his side nearer with ten minutes left before half time.

Yorkshire Carnegie’s Under-18s will play Sale Sharks away at their Carrington training ground on Sunday 31st, KO 2pm.  This will provide the young side their final opportunity as a group to pull together the fuller game performance that they have been working towards so hard as a group.
