Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath said he was pleased with his team’s showing in the first half against Munster A after they wrapped up the try bonus point after half an hour in the British and Irish Cup.

The visitors came back into the game in the second half to earn their own try bonus point but Carnegie now head into their final Pool 3 game against Ospreys at the top of their table.  Speaking after the game Redpath said: "The positive for that game was a lot of the first half in terms of our whole control of the game and our set piece was strong and our exits were good and we finished off some opportunities out wide so there was a lot of positives in that first half. We said at half time it would be different and probably the disappointing part was that we didn't finish the second half with any control and we allowed Munster into the game and the scored 2-3 tries.

"I am disappointed to concede a bonus point for them but ultimately we will take it and we will move on.  A lot of these boys haven't played 80 minutes for a long time as well so it was a chance to see them for 80.  We will focus on next week now against Ospreys and all the boys who had a chance today to put their hand up will get another run next week."
