Josh Bainbridge’s remarkable haul of seven tries in four appearances in October have secured him his place in the nominations for the Greene King IPA Championship Player of Month, now your vote can help him win it!

With the league's top five try scorers playing in the back-row, it's little surprise to see three nominated in October's Player of the Month shortlist. Moseley's Glyn Hughes represents the only back, reflecting the club's second nomination in as many months following Aaron Pinches inclusion in September.

Ever-present for the Midlands side this season, Hughes has proved crucial to his team's performance. The fly-half had claimed just under half of his team's points, a higher percentage than any other player in the Championship. The former Carnegie man sits third in the league's top ten scorers with 80 points after eight rounds of action.
Nottingham feature in the Player of the Month line-up for only the second time since the award launched in September 2014. Dan Mugford was the man in the spot light in last November's list of nominees, coming second to Moseley's Sam Olver. The Green and Whites are back in contention this month as Paul Grant receives a nod.
The former Montpellier back-row has set the Championship alight this season, scoring ten tries in the first eight rounds, five in October alone. Having started all eight games, Grant scored two crucial tries at the Athletic Ground to secure a one-point victory over London Scottish in round seven and sits joint top of the try scoring table alongside Olly Robinson who is also nominated this month.

The Bristol man is another back-row try scorer, having also scored 50 points across the whitewash so far this season, 30 of which came during his side's 40-10 victory over Cornish Pirates at The Mennaye. That win broke an eleven-year losing run for the visitors. Son of Director of Rugby Andy, the 24-year old has featured in all of Bristol's game this season, crossing the try line in five of the eight fixtures.

Finally, Josh Bainbridge is included among the nominees after another try-scoring masterclass from a back-row forward. The flanker crossed a record-breaking five times for Yorkshire Carnegie in their narrow loss to Bristol Rugby, following two tries the week before against local rivals Doncaster Knights. The England U20 became the first Carnegie player in over a decade to score five tries in a game.
