Cornish Pirates have made a number of changes to the side to face Yorkshire Carnegie at Mennaye Field, with wing Alex O’Meara set make his first Championship appearance for the Pirates.

The ever reliable Laurie McGlone will skipper the side and moves up into the second-row whilst John Stevens is named on the flank with Matt Bolwell selected at No. 8.

In the front-row Marlen Walker comes into the side at loose-head prop with Jack Innard starting at hooker.

For Rheon James the match will mark his 50th appearance for the Pirates,

Speaking ahead of the match, Director of Rugby Ian Davies said: "This is a tough month coming up but three of the matches are at home.

"In each match we've played thus far there have been periods of dominance and we have able to exert pressure leading to points being scored.  The task now is to increase the frequency and duration of these periods into an 80 minute performance."
