Yorkshire Carnegie have launched a new advert to promote the club to rugby fans during the Rugby World Cup.

The advert features Yorkshire Carnegie Scrum Half Chris Pilgrim, walking in full playing kit across the Yorkshire Dales before culminating in a dramatic kick for goal. The film is interspersed with shots of Carnegie players, young rugby players and fans enjoying the unique matchday experience at Headingley Carnegie Stadium as well as iconic shots of Yorkshire.

Head of Marketing Abigail Furniss explained the concept for the video, she said, "The idea behind the film is to firmly position the club as Yorkshire’s rugby union side. The advert also emphasises the beginning of a new era at a club with clear ambitions to achieve a top two finish this season and ultimately to create a Premiership Rugby Club for Yorkshire.  The new era began with the renaming of the club to Yorkshire Carnegie last season, was closely followed the appointment of a new board and the arrival of new Head Coach Bryan Redpath. Bryan made eight impressive player signings in the close season, each with Premiership experience. The new era will continue when ninth signing and Leeds Rhinos legend, Kevin Sinfield starts to play for the club this Autumn."
