Yorkshire Carnegie head coach, Bryan Redpath, said he was pleased for his players after their victory over Ealing Trailfinders saw them move into top place in the Greene King IPA Championship.

Repath admitted though, that despite earning a bonus point he was disappointed to concede four tries.  Speaking after the game he said: “I am delighted for the players.  We scored six tries but conceded four which was disappointing, especially in that second half where we should have had a lot more control and I think our discipline let us down again.  On the whole I am delighted with the win and we had to work hard for it.

“In the first half we created three/four chances and finished them off, whereas in previous weeks we have created and not finished and relied on our scrum and our drive to get us out that trouble and I think today it showed that if we can get a sniff we can finish too and that’s a dangerous weapon when we get everything together.”
