Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath says the standards set within the squad of players will ensure that they do not relax despite a bonus point opening day win over Jersey for this Sunday’s trip to Rotherham.

Redpath admitted he was disappointed with elements of Yorkshire's play in the win over Jersey on Sunday and pointed to the squad strength as a motivating factor within the group. He commented, "I thought our scrum and line out play went very well on Sunday but we let ourselves down in too many areas. We have a very honest group of players and coaches and we have discussed that frankly this week. The club have done a great deal over the last few months to build a squad that can compete at the top end of this division and we have two players for every position, if someone is unable to produce the level of performance we need, then there is someone else to take his place and that is a very healthy position to be in."
