Yorkshire Carnegie forward Richard Beck is set to join National One side Wharfedale on loan to gain match fitness after returning from a shoulder injury.

Beck has not played since last February and was only able to make seven appearances in total last season. However, with his shoulder injury now cleared up, he has been allowed to join Wharfedale to gain match fitness.

Commenting on the move, Director of Rugby Chris Gibson said, "This was something Richard was keen to do and we are happy for him to join up with Wharfedale. He has had a tough run of injuries in recent times however we all know the quality that Richard possesses when he is fully fit and we look forward to seeing him continue his recovery."

Gibson has also confirmed that young back rower Jack Barnard is currently training with Championship rivals Doncaster Knights.
