Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath said his players had handled the tricky conditions and the power of the Romania side well in their 10-10 draw at Headingley Carnegie.

Redpath's side fought back in the second half to secure a draw thanks to a try from James Fitzpatrick. The coach commented after the game, "I thought we were a bit off in the first half but that is only natural in our first pre-season game. Romania are a big, tough side and we responded well to that challenge. There were some nice combinations forming on the field and that we can look forward to the Fylde game next week now and looking to build on today's draw."
