Yorkshire Carnegie skipper Chris Jones said he was proud of his team’s efforts after their drew 10-10 with World Cup-bound Romania at Headingley Carnegie.

Jones was captaining the side for the first time and looked impressive in the line out with Dean Schofield in the first half as well as being part of a pack that constantly disrupted the visitors scrum, including taking one against the head.
Speaking after the game, Jones said, "I think we can be very proud of our efforts today. For any club side to play against international opposition is a big challenge and I thought we did Yorkshire proud tonight. There is still plenty to work on before the first game of the season against Jersey but we are moving in the right direction and you could see the results of our hard work already this summer in elements of this performance."
