Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath has named all eight of the club’s close season recruits in the squad to play Romania this Friday at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 5.30pm.

Half of the new signings are in the starting line up whilst the remaining four will look to make an impact off the bench. Winger Seb Stegmann, who joined from London Welsh, and centre Tom Casson, from Harlequins, are included in the backline whilst new prop Rob O’Donnell, signed from Worcester, and the experienced second row Dean Schofield are in the pack.

Schofield will be joined in the second row by new captain Chris Jones whilst last season’s Player of the Year Pete Lucock will link up with Casson in the centres.

New signings Tom Ryder, Andy Saull, Joel Hodgson and Andy Forsyth are amongst the replacements. The only new face not included in the squad is Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield. Sinfield will only join up with Yorkshire Carnegie after his commitments with the Rhinos are concluded in October however Carnegie fans will get to see him in action on Friday night with him set to lead the Rhinos against Wigan after the Romania match, kicking off at 8pm. Tickets for Friday nights double header can be booked at www.therhinos.co.uk/buytickets and the match is included in the price for the Rhinos v Wigan game. If you purchase before midnight on Thursday, you can save £2 on the matchday admission price, gates open at 5pm on Friday night and you will be able to pay cash at the turnstiles.
