Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath says his side are in good shape looking ahead to their first pre-season game of the campaign next Friday against Romania at Headingley Carnegie.

Redpath and the team hosted an open training session at Headingley Carnegie as part of the Rugby World Cup visit so fans could see the players in action and they will have been impressed with what they saw.

Redpath commented, "The boys are doing really well. Our training camp up in Scotland went very well and the players are keen to get to the first game of pre-season next week against Romania. It is great for us to get the chance to play a World Cup team here at Headingley Carnegie and that has certainly given the lads a lift after a long eight weeks of pre-season so far."
