Yorkshire Carnegie Rugby are looking to recruit an Academy Physiotherapist to work within our existing Medical Department. The role will require you to provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service to our Academy Squad including elite RFU registered players.

You will be a qualified Chartered Physiotherapist and have excellent clinical knowledge, experience and a proven ability to work independently. The key requirements are at least 2 years post-graduate experience in a sports background, this is desirable not essential. You will be a registered member of HCP, a RFU ICIS Level 3 qualification would also be desirable, as you would be developing a CPD portfolio with a sports medicine / sports physiotherapist bias.
 
The role will include:

  • Assessment and rehabilitation of injured age-group players (Junior Development Squad – U16s)
  • Collation of all relevant injury data for the Junior Development Squad (U16s)
  • Appropriate record keeping of all physiotherapy interventions
  • Provide match-day care for selected Academy age-group team fixtures
  • Experience and understanding of principles of Long Term Athletic Development 

This is a part time role of 8-10 hours per week and you must be flexible in your commitment to this role as you will be expected to work evenings and occasional weekends. The salary will be based on experience, skills and qualifications.
 
The role will be based at our Kirkstall Training Ground, Leeds Rugby Academy, Clarence Fields, Bridge Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3BW, but on occasions you may be required to work at away games.
