Yorkshire Carnegie Head Coach Bryan Redpath says he is pleased to have a home game to start the new Greene King IPA Championship season after the 2015-16 fixtures were announced today.

Yorkshire will kick off their campaign with a home clash against Jersey on Sunday 6th September and Redpath admits that knowing the opening day clash will give the team a fresh focus during pre-season. He commented, "The boys have come back in great shape and we are ahead of where we thought we might be as we go into week three. I am pleased to have a home game at Headingley Carnegie first up. Jersey are a strong side as we found out last season when they gave us a tough game at home and we certainly have something to aim towards now."

The former Scottish international scrum half is hoping plenty of his compatriots will take the opportunity to come along to Headingley Carnegie on Saturday 26th September for Yorkshire Carnegie's clash with London Scottish less than 24 hours before Scotland take on the USA at Elland Road in the World Cup. He added, "It would be great to see plenty of Scotland fans coming along to see what we are all about at Yorkshire Carnegie. The whole city will be buzzing that weekend with the Italy v Canada game earlier in the afternoon and is is great that our game will be part of that festival of rugby."
