Yorkshire Carnegie fly half Harry Leonard says he is already looking forward to next season and building on the progress he made last year in his first campaign with the club.

Leonard finished the season as top points scorer at the club but admits he will go into next season with even more confidence with a year in the Championship under his belt and a full off season with the squad.

He commented, "There is a great squad here and we have got a long time together in pre-season so I think we will be in good shape come the start of the season. I enjoyed myself last season but there are lots of challenges you face when you move to a new club and a new competition and none of that will be there this season for me.

"The Championship is an increasingly competitive league and with London Welsh coming down from the Premiership, it certainly isn't going to get any easier next season."
