Yorkshire Carnegie is looking to recruit a Soft Tissue Therapist to work within our existing Medical Department.

This role will be an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team (MDT) within the elite sporting environment and will contribute to the objectives of the team with the delivery of soft tissue therapy to first team players at training and match venues.
 
You will have extensive experience in the provision of sports massage and soft tissue therapy in elite sport and an ability to demonstrate up to date and advanced knowledge of soft tissue therapy techniques related to recent advances in musculoskeletal medicine in the sporting environment.
 
You must be able to work under pressure and prioritise your own workload. Due to the nature of the role you must work to tight deadlines and have clear decision making skills. You must also be confident in your ability to communicate both written and verbally. You must have an appropriate professional qualification including registration with a Health Care Profession governing body e.g. Sports Massage Association, Health Professions Council and a personal commitment to continuous personal professional development
 
The role will include:
 

  • Deliver sports massage and soft tissue therapy appropriate to the training objectives agreed by the MDT.  This may be on training days or match day.
  • Arrange massage sessions for the squad and individuals at a time that fits around training commitments
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of treatment provided and complete audit as appropriate.
  • Prepare medical kit and equipment for match day
  • Keep inventory of consumables and replenish stock as necessary
  • Work within the rules of the UK Professional Code of Conduct, standards and guidelines 

This is a part time role of 20 hours per week and you must be flexible in your commitment to this role as you will be expected to work during training sessions and match days.
 
The role will be based at our Kirkstall Training Ground, Leeds Rugby Academy, Clarence Fields, Bridge Road, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3BW, but on occasions you may be required to work at West Park.
