Paul Hill said he will leave Yorkshire Carnegie with fond memories after playing in his final game for the club against Cornish Pirates.

Hill, who came through the club’s Academy, made his debut in 2014 against Plymouth Albion and has been a regular throughout this season for Yorkshire Carnegie.  The young prop will now go onto represent England in the Junior World Cup before joining up with Northampton next season.

Speaking after the game Hill said: “I started out at the club when I was 14 when I was picked up by Danny Wild and then came through the Academy system and got to play in the first team which is what every Academy lad wants to do and I am really happy with how things have gone during my time here.

“I will continue to follow the club, I have some very good friends here like Jack Walker, Josh Bainbridge and Taylor Prell that I have come through the Academy with.  I am looking forward to the challenge with Northampton, and playing in the Premiership and I need to step up to the mark and do myself and this club proud.”
