Following their final game of the campaign, Yorkshire Carnegie captain Ryan Burrows thanked the club’s fans for their fantastic support over the season.

Speaking after the Cornish Pirates game Burrows said: “The support week in week out has been fantastic, as it has been throughout my time at the club and it is great to see 1600 people here today for a game that there wasn’t a lot riding on.  So hopefully we will hit the ground running next season and increase that crowd each week.  It was also pleasing to see all the junior rugby teams today, there is a lot of hard work that goes on behind the scenes with Adam Blades and the clubs, and it is nice to see them here at our games.

“It’s been a frustrating year, with changes in coaches, performances and inconsistency, but I think since Bryan has come in during the last five to six weeks we have put in some consistent performances together and when he came in we targeted four out of five wins and we got that and had we been a little bit better in our performance against Worcester we could have got five out of five.”
