Yorkshire Carnegie Junior Development Squad Under 15’s play the first of two 12 a side festivals this Sunday at Sandal RUFC KO from 12pm.

The group is drawn together from players across the County who have been training together throughout the season. This  Sunday they play Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons in round robin. All three clubs will take two teams and play 6 games in total.
The squad below have been selected to represent Yorkshire Carnegie on Sunday with others unavailable due to commitments to their clubs in the Yorkshire Cup Final. Following the festival a squad will be selected to travel to Newark RUFC on Monday 4th May  to play in the RFU Academies festival with Northampton Saints, Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors, Sale and Newcastle.
Danny Wild  Junior Develop Squad Manager commented. Some of these players have been together since September while others have joined throughout the season, up until Easter. It's a testament to the development of the ERDPP programme that most of these players have come through that system.  These players have also been involved in a challenging County programme which will stand them in good stead for the intensity in these festivals.

Our focus in the JDS has been to develop the players game understanding and decision making in an environment that promotes taking  responsibility and being creative in solving problems on the field. We hope this Sunday gives the players an opportunity to apply some of the skills they have learned and to express themselves against some of the best players in the North.
