Yorkshire welcome Bedford to Headingley Carnegie on Sunday afternoon, a team only above them in the Greene King IPA Championship on points difference and skipper Ryan Burrows says he and his team mates are hoping to put recent disappointments behind them.

Burrows admits he and his team mates know they will be in for a tough test. He added, “Bedford is always a tough game, but none more so than now with where we are and where we want to be. This is an important game for us in terms of where we want to be come the end of the season. There is a belief within the group that we are not a ninth placed team but our results clearly show that is where we deserve to be at present however this is another chance for the team to take us away from our current position.

“Today’s game is especially important for us because we are at home and our form at Headingley is not where we wanted it to be. In our last few home games we will be going out to get some positive results. We are working hard week in and week out and I know the whole squad will be giving their all for the fans to get the results we all want between now and the end of the season,” added the skipper.
