Congratulations to the Leeds Beckett University Mens first team who have retained their Premier North A league title and now progress to the knock out stages of the BUCS championship.

Their 20-18 win at Durham means that they are in an unassailable position at the top of the table before they place second place Loughborough at home this Wednesday and finish off their league campaign at the University of Leeds the following week.

Speaking on Wednesday triumph, Tommy McGee, who combine his role in charge of Yorkshire Carnegie with his involvement with Leeds Beckett, said, "It is a great achievement for all the players to retain their title especially with two games to go. The partnership between ourselves in the University is now established and is something that rugby players across the country are aware of. Winning the league up at Durham this week is a great boost as we head into the Quarter Finals and the chance to get back to Twickenham."
