Yorkshire Carnegie physiotherapist Stephen Humphries has given us an update on a number of players who have been out of action for a while but are on the road to recover.

“We are pleased with the progress that both Fred Burdon and James Fitzpatrick have made. They are continuing their rehabilitation and have progressed their conditioning programs.

“David McIlwaine has begun rehabilitation after shoulder surgery and will hopefully be looking to be back in action in three months.

“Liam Edwards is progressing well and starting to lift fairly heavy post surgery to stabilise his Acromioclavicular Joint in his shoulder.

“Finally, Nathan Hannay will progress to running within the next month,” added Humphries.
