Nick Carpenter makes his first competitive start of the campaign when Bristol face Yorkshire Carnegie in the B&I Cup quarter-final on Friday (7.45pm KO).

Only Rhys Lawrence and Ben Glynn survive from the side that overcame Yorkshire 29-28 last weekend.

Darren Hudson comes in at full back for his first competitive outing since November, while George Watkins and Jack Tovey also return to the fray.

Dwayne Peel skippers the side at scrum half and Nick Koster, Josh Ovens and Ben Skirving form a new-look back row partnership.

Academy hooker James Stephenson is listed among the replacements and could make his second appearance in the competition this season.
